Junior Waiter / Waitress (Server Assistant or Apprentice Server)

Job Overview:

The Junior Waiter/Waitress supports the service team by performing essential tasks that allow senior servers to focus on guest interaction. This is an entry-level or training role focused on learning all aspects of restaurant service.

Key Responsibilities:

Water & Bread Service: Refill water glasses, deliver and replenish bread baskets throughout the meal.
Table Maintenance: Clear used dishes, glassware, and cutlery between courses. Reset tables quickly and efficiently after guests depart.
Support for Servers: Assist senior servers by running food and drinks from the kitchen/bar to tables, fetching condiments, and providing general support.
Dining Room Upkeep: Ensure station cleanliness, including wiping down tables, chairs, and booths. Restock server stations with napkins, silverware, and other supplies.
Guest Assistance: Respond to basic guest requests (e.g., more water, an extra plate) and promptly inform the assigned server of any specific needs.
Learning & Development: Learn the menu, ingredients, and basic service steps with the goal of progressing to a full server role.

Qualifications & Skills:

No prior serving experience required; training is provided.
Strong desire to learn and develop in the hospitality industry.
Positive attitude, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to move quickly and carry multiple items safely.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to be on feet for extended periods.
