Job Summary:

The Lead O&M Engineer will be responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day operational management of our sewerage network and treatment assets. This role demands a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise to ensure the highest levels of system performance, reliability, safety, and compliance. You will optimize processes, lead a team of skilled professionals, and implement innovative O&M strategies for large-scale, critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Management:
Provide overall technical and operational leadership for the O&M of sewerage tunnels, large-diameter pipelines, pumping stations, treatment processes, and odour control systems.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve O&M strategies, plans, and procedures to maximize asset life, efficiency, and performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary O&M team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Manage the O&M budget, forecast resources, and control costs effectively.
Technical Excellence & Optimization:
Ensure all assets operate reliably, meeting or exceeding performance KPIs and regulatory compliance standards.
Diagnose complex operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Optimize process performance (biological, chemical, physical) and energy consumption across the wastewater treatment system.
Oversee the planning and execution of planned maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency response activities.
Reliability & Compliance:
Develop and manage a comprehensive asset reliability program, including risk assessments, criticality analyses, and condition-based monitoring.
Ensure strict adherence to all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company policies.
