Job Summary:

The Parts Manager oversees the entire parts department, including inventory, sales, and logistics. The goal is to ensure optimal parts availability for workshop operations, maximize parts sales profitability (retail and wholesale), and maintain efficient inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, forecast, and manage parts inventory to achieve high fill rates for workshop and customer demands while minimizing obsolescence.
Develop and execute strategies to grow retail, wholesale, and online parts sales.
Lead and manage the parts team, including advisors, warehouse staff, and drivers.
Establish strong relationships with the manufacturer(s), local suppliers, and wholesale clients.
Ensure accurate and efficient parts ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing processes.
Monitor and analyze parts sales reports, profit margins, and inventory turnover.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations in the parts warehouse.
Handle escalated parts-related customer complaints and warranty parts processing.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or relevant technical field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive parts operations, with at least 4 years in a management role.
Expert knowledge of parts inventory management systems and forecasting techniques.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent understanding of automotive systems and parts nomenclature.
