Plant Manager – Disposable Packaging Products

Location: Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

Salary Range: SAR 18,000 – 20,000 per month (commensurate with experience)

Reporting To: Director of Operations / General Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead our disposable packaging manufacturing facility in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire plant operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while driving continuous improvement and profitability. You will be a key leader, managing teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

Overall Plant Management: Oversee all daily operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, warehousing, and logistics to ensure seamless functionality.
Production Planning & Optimization: Develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization (manpower, machinery, materials). Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
Quality Control & Assurance: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process. Ensure all disposable packaging products comply with company specifications, customer requirements, and relevant industry regulations.
Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of supervisors, operators, and technicians. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Budget & Cost Management: Manage the plant's operational budget. Monitor production costs and implement strategies to improve cost-efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Champion a zero-incident culture. Ensure full compliance with all local KSA health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular audits and safety trainings.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify operational bottlenecks, technical issues, and inefficiencies. Lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination: Manage raw material inventory levels and work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely availability. Coordinate with the supply chain/logistics department for effective product dispatch.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance (KPIs), production metrics, quality issues, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Key Requirements

Experience: Proven and strong experience in manufacturing and plant operations, specifically within the disposable packaging products industry (e.g., paper cups, plastic containers, takeaway boxes, foil packaging, etc.).
Technical Expertise:
Expertise in production planning, process optimization, and quality control systems.
Solid understanding of manufacturing machinery, maintenance principles, and lean manufacturing techniques.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing), Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
Language: Proficiency in English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the GCC region, particularly KSA.
Knowledge of SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Quality Management, or similar.
