Procurement Officer / Manager

Overview:

A Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the goods and services an organization needs to operate. They aim to acquire high-quality products at the best possible price, while also ensuring reliable supply and building strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Manage supplier relationships and conduct performance reviews.
Analyze market and delivery trends to anticipate material availability and pricing.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., inventory control, finance) to determine their needs.
Resolve any issues with invoices, orders, or deliveries.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and financial skills.
Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Solid communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
