Public Area Attendant (PA Attendant)

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Public Area Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Public Area Attendant maintains the cleanliness and presentation of all hotel public spaces, ensuring a positive first impression for guests and visitors. This role focuses on front-of-house areas that are constantly in use.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning Public Spaces: Thoroughly clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, meeting rooms, and banquet areas.
Restroom Care: Sanitize and restock public restrooms throughout the day, ensuring they are spotless and well-supplied.
Floor Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in public areas. May operate heavy-duty cleaning machines (e.g., carpet extractors, floor buffers).
Detail Cleaning: Perform detailed tasks such as dusting high and low areas, polishing metal/glass surfaces, cleaning light fixtures, and wiping down furniture.
Trash Removal: Empty trash and recycling receptacles in all public areas.
Guest Interaction: Provide courteous and discreet service, offering assistance to guests when needed while maintaining a clean environment.
Event Support: Assist with pre- and post-event cleaning in function spaces.

Qualifications:

Similar to Room Attendant. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Comfortable working in highly visible guest areas.
Ability to handle heavier equipment and perform more physical tasks than a Room Attendant in some cases.
