About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Data Scientist to architect and build our next-generation AI/ML platform from the ground up. This is a hands-on, foundational role where you will have the unique opportunity to shape the data-driven core of our B2B Fintech products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models that directly impact critical business areas such as credit risk assessment and fraud analytics.

Key Responsibilities

AI/ML Platform Architecture: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of a scalable and robust AI/ML platform to serve our B2B financial products.
End-to-End Model Development: Own the entire ML lifecycle—from data exploration and feature engineering to model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring—for predictive models in credit risk and fraud detection.
Hands-on Prototyping & Deployment: Foster a hands-on data science culture by rapidly prototyping new ideas, designing rigorous experiments, and implementing lean deployment strategies to quickly test and iterate on solutions.
Cloud Infrastructure & MLOps: Leverage strong cloud platform expertise to build and optimize the underlying infrastructure for model training, serving, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Business teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and data-driven products.
Technical Leadership: Establish best practices in coding, model documentation, and reproducibility. Mentor junior data scientists and engineers.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have:

6+ years of professional experience in data science, with a proven track record in a Fintech or B2B financial services environment.
Deep experience in AI/ML platform design and development, with a clear understanding of the architectural patterns for scalable ML systems.
Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
Strong grasp of ML libraries and frameworks, including scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (SageMaker, S3, Redshift), Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery), or Azure (ML Studio, Synapse).
Demonstrated experience in building and productionizing machine learning models for credit risk (e.g., PD, LGD, EAD models) and fraud analytics.
A passion for a hands-on, "build-and-measure" culture, with skills in rapid prototyping and A/B testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience building an ML platform from the ground up in a startup or high-growth environment.
Knowledge of MLOps tools and practices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Kubeflow).
Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Databricks).
Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in financial modeling.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
