Structure Inspector (Consultancy Background)

Job Overview:

The Structure Inspector is critical for ensuring the integrity and safety of the building. You will inspect all structural elements of the high-rise (G+20), from reinforcement and formwork to concrete pours, ensuring strict compliance with structural drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections for reinforcement (fixing, spacing, size, cover), formwork, and shoring prior to concrete pours.
Witness all concrete pours, monitor slump tests, and collect cube samples for testing.
Inspect structural steelwork (if applicable) for welding, bolting, and fireproofing.
Check for any unauthorized deviations from structural drawings.
Review contractor's method statements for all structural activities.
Prepare detailed reports for each inspection stage (pre-pour, during pour, post-pour).
Coordinate with the materials testing laboratory and review test reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Structure Inspector with a consultancy firm.
Extensive experience in high-rise reinforced concrete construction (G+20) is essential.
Certifications in concrete technology, welding inspection, or NDT are significant advantages.
Must be rigorous, meticulous, and uncompromising on structural safety standards.
