Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Upholsterer to join our Interiors team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting, restoring, and finishing high-quality upholstered furniture pieces for our luxury residential and commercial projects. This role demands an artisan's touch, precision, and a deep understanding of materials and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute full upholstery processes for a range of items including custom sofas, armchairs, headboards, Majlis seating, and other bespoke furniture.
Accurately measure, cut, and pattern fabrics and leathers with minimal waste.
Shape, carve, and build up foam and padding to achieve desired comfort, aesthetics, and durability.
Perform skilled stitching, sewing, and tufting using industrial machines and hand tools.
Conduct repair, refurbishment, and restoration of existing furniture to a high standard.
Strip down old frames, repair or replace webbing, springs, and fillings as needed.
Fit and attach final covers, ensuring smooth, tight, and flawless finishes.
Collaborate with carpenters on frame construction and with designers to realize custom concepts.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe workshop environment.
Adhere to project timelines and quality control standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional upholstery experience, specifically within the UAE or GCC interiors market.
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of fabrics, leathers, foams, and other upholstery materials.
Proficiency in cutting, sewing, and all aspects of furniture assembly.
Strong ability in foam shaping and building for complex furniture forms.
Personal Attributes:
Exceptional attention to detail and a pride in craftsmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills for custom and restoration work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Preferred: Portfolio of previous work. Knowledge of local supplier materials is a plus.
