Position Overview
A highly discreet, professional, and experienced Travelling Butler is required for the principal of a distinguished ultra-high-net-worth family. This is a pivotal role that demands the highest standards of service, impeccable presentation, and unwavering confidentiality. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the principal's personal life and comfort, both at their primary residence in Dubai and while travelling internationally to various residences and on extended trips. This is a live-in position with a truly global remit.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Service & Valeting:
- Provide seamless, anticipatory, and flawless butler service to the principal.
- Manage valeting services, including wardrobe care, packing, and unpacking for all trips.
- Ensure all clothing, accessories, and personal items are meticulously maintained, organised, and prepared for any occasion.
- Oversee shoe care, jewellery organisation, and the care of other personal effects.
2. Travel & Itinerary Management:
- Coordinate complex international travel itineraries in close coordination with the family office and security team.
- Manage private jet and yacht preparations, ensuring all personal preferences are met in advance.
- Pack and transport luggage efficiently and discreetly.
- Act as the principal's personal aide-de-camp during travel, handling all logistics and smoothing the path from departure to arrival.
3. Residence Management (Across Multiple Properties):
- Assume responsibility for the principal's immediate living environment in every location, ensuring each residence is maintained to a 5-star standard upon arrival.
- Liaise with and direct household staff (e.g., housekeepers, chefs, security) in various properties to ensure seamless service.
- Manage inventory of personal supplies, luxury amenities, and wardrobe across all residences.
- Oversee the setting of tables, serving of meals, and beverage service according to formal and informal standards.
4. Culinary & Hospitality:
- Possess a strong knowledge of fine dining, wine, and spirits.
- Prepare and serve light meals, snacks, and beverages to the principal's precise preferences.
- Coordinate with private chefs to plan menus and ensure dietary requirements are strictly adhered to.
- Manage bar stock, including sourcing rare vintages and spirits.
5. Communication & Discretion:
- Maintain the utmost level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Act as a key point of contact and a reliable gatekeeper for the principal.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience:Â Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar butler or valet role within ultra-high-net-worth households, 5-star hotels, or on private yachts.
- Travel:Â Must be willing and able to travel extensively and at short notice. A valid passport is essential.
- Skills:Â Impeccable personal presentation, emotional intelligence, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Knowledge:Â Expertise in formal service protocols, wardrobe management, etiquette, and fine dining.
- Attributes:Â Extremely discreet, trustworthy, resilient, and resourceful. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Language:Â Fluency in English is essential. Additional languages are a significant advantage.
- References:Â Must provide verifiable, exemplary references from previous employers.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: A highly competitive monthly salary of AED 25,000 - AED 28,000.
