Data Privacy Consultant (Short-Term Project | Onsite in Dubai)
Location: Dubai, UAE (Hybrid)
Engagement: 2-Month Project
Onsite Requirement: 15–20 days during the project period (remainder remote)
Monthly Budget: AED 12,000 - AED 15,000 (dependent on experience and certifications)
We are seeking an experienced and certified Data Privacy Consultant for a focused, short-term project with a leading organization in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise to establish and enhance critical data privacy capabilities.
About the Role:
You will be instrumental in building and assessing our client's data privacy framework. Over two months, you will take hands-on responsibility for key deliverables, ensuring alignment with global and local regulations and setting up a sustainable privacy operating model.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Framework Implementation & Assessment: Implement, review, and assess the Data Privacy Framework against GDPR, UAE PDPL, and ISO/IEC 27701 standards.
- Risk Management: Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and prepare Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) for high-risk processing activities.
- Operating Model Design: Define the Data Privacy Operating Model, including governance structure, DPO (Data Protection Officer) roles, and clear RACI matrices.
- DSAR Process: Manage the end-to-end Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) process, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Policy Development: Develop and refine core privacy policies and documents, including:
- Record of Processing Activities (RoPA)
- Data Retention & Erasure Policy
- Personal Data Breach Response Plan
- Third-Party Risk Management: Build the Privacy Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework, including vendor assessment questionnaires and requisite contractual clauses.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven hands-on experience delivering similar privacy projects in the UAE or GCC region.
- Deep, practical knowledge of GDPR and the UAE PDPL.
- Experience with ISO/IEC 27701 implementation or certification is a strong plus.
- A "doer" who can work independently, manage the project lifecycle, and deliver clear, actionable outputs.
Preferred Certifications (One or more):

- ✅ Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)
- ✅ Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)
