About the Role
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finishing Foreman to take charge of the final phases of our high-profile construction projects. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a sharp eye for detail, responsible for supervising all interior finishing activities to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a critical role that demands strong technical knowledge, exceptional coordination skills, and a proven track record in the UAE construction market.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Management:
- Directly supervise and coordinate all finishing trades on-site, including interiors, plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, and allied works.
- Plan and manage the daily workflow, manpower, and material allocation for finishing teams to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment, strictly adhering to all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Rigorously inspect all finishing work to ensure it meets project specifications, approved materials, and the highest quality standards.
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure accurate execution of finishing details.
- Conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections, ensuring all defects are rectified promptly before handover.
- Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead, motivate, and manage subcontractors and direct labor, ensuring optimal productivity and workmanship.
- Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, Engineers, Consultants, and other trade foremen to resolve on-site issues and ensure seamless project progression.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and provide clear instructions to the finishing team.
- Planning & Reporting:
- Monitor progress against the project schedule and report daily/weekly updates to the Project Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of material requisitions and ensure timely availability of materials to avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate site records, including inspection reports, attendance sheets, and work progress photos.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential:
- Minimum of 6–8 years of proven experience as a Finishing Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- In-depth practical knowledge of all interior finishing works: false ceilings, partition walls, plastering, painting, tiling (wall and floor), stone cladding, flooring (vinyl, wood, etc.), and joinery.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, details, and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to site challenges.
- Highly Preferred:
- Previous UAE/GCC experience is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with local authority regulations and standards in the UAE.
- Valid UAE driving license.
