About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Consultant Neurologist to join our dynamic medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of neurological disorders. This role demands a leader who can contribute to departmental growth, mentor junior staff, and deliver patient-centered care of the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive consultant-level clinical care to inpatients and outpatients with neurological conditions.
- Diagnose and manage disorders such as stroke, epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, and dementia.
- Perform and interpret specialized neurological tests (e.g., EEG, EMG, NCV) if credentialed, or work closely with the neurophysiology department.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings for complex case management.
- Be available for on-call duties and emergency neurological consultations as per the hospital roster.
- Ensure all practices comply with the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi regulations, standards, and protocols.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities.
- Supervise, teach, and mentor Residents, Specialists, and other junior medical staff.
- Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics and patient safety.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Basic Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) and a Post-Graduate Master's degree or Board Certification (e.g., Arab Board, American Board, UK CCT, or equivalent) in Neurology.
- Valid DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) License or a confirmed DOH Exam Pass Certificate is essential.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Neurology post-specialization certification.
- Proven track record in a consultant-level role within a reputable hospital setting.
- Excellent clinical judgment and procedural skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
- Ability to join immediately or at short notice.
