Job Description: Waiters & Waitresses (Fine Dining Experience)
Job Summary
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing professional, courteous, and attentive service to guests in a fine dining restaurant. The role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables when required.
- Present menus, explain menu items, daily specials, and beverage selections.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
- Serve food and beverages according to fine dining service standards.
- Ensure timely and professional service while maintaining attention to detail.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and efficient order delivery.
- Set up and clear tables while maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Process guest bills and handle payments accurately.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and wine pairings.
- Support team members during busy service periods and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel, or upscale hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and food and beverage service standards.
- Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
