Job Description: Associate Supervisor – Warehouse Operations
Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and hands-on Associate Supervisor – Warehouse Operations to support the efficient day-to-day functioning of warehouse activities. The role will assist in supervising warehouse personnel, coordinating receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations, and ensuring inventory accuracy, safety, and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily warehouse operations and workforce activities.
- Coordinate receiving, unloading, inspection, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
- Allocate tasks to warehouse associates and monitor productivity and work quality.
- Ensure accurate and timely movement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Monitor stock levels and support regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, handling, and identification of materials.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments and ensure adherence to dispatch schedules.
- Ensure warehouse transactions are accurately updated in the ERP/WMS system.
- Support the Warehouse Supervisor in achieving productivity and service-level targets.
- Monitor team attendance, discipline, performance, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Train and guide warehouse associates on operational procedures and safe working practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, warehouse procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and workplace organization.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, sales, transport, and other departments as required.
- Prepare daily operational reports and escalate issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Support audits and ensure warehouse documentation is maintained accurately.
- Perform other operational duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory, or distribution operations.
- Prior experience in a team-lead or supervisory capacity is preferred.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory software.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
