Job Overview

Role Title: Storekeeper / Inventory Clerk
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts.
Receiving & Inspection: Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage against purchase orders and packing slips; report discrepancies immediately.
Storage & Organization: Properly organize, label, and store stock in designated warehouse or storage areas to optimize space and maintain safety standards.
Issuing & Dispatching: Fulfill internal requisitions or customer orders accurately, ensuring timely picking, packing, and issuance of materials.
Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date logs and computerized inventory databases (ERP/WMS) for all incoming and outgoing goods.
Safety & Maintenance: Keep the store room, warehouse, and loading areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and fire regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Proven experience (typically 1–3 years) working as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or in inventory control.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), or MS Excel.
Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) if required by the facility.
Core Competencies:
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
Good numerical and record-keeping abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
