Role Title: QA/QC Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Planning & Procedures: Develop and implement the project or company Quality Management Plan (QMP), inspection test plans (ITPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular on-site or factory inspections, material checks, and process audits to verify that work complies with approved drawings and engineering standards.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and report any defects, non-conformance issues, or deviations from quality standards; lead root-cause analysis and oversee corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Testing & Documentation: Supervise quality testing procedures, review material test reports, and maintain meticulous quality records, inspection logs, and certification documents.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Quality: Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quality controls, reviewing incoming materials and workmanship to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international quality and safety codes (e.g., ISO standards, ASTM, OSHA).
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience (typically 3–5 years) working as a QA/QC Engineer, Quality Inspector, or in a similar quality assurance role within the relevant industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.) or a related technical discipline.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ISO Lead Auditor, AWS/CSWIP for welding, or NICET) are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience with quality management software and MS Office (Excel for data tracking).
