Chef De Partie (with Breakfast Chef experience)

Reports to: Sous Chef / Head Chef

Job Overview:

As a Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry). Your specialized experience in breakfast service is crucial, as you will lead the preparation and execution of breakfast/brunch offerings, maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and speed during morning operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section according to standard recipes and specifications.
Lead the breakfast shift, overseeing the preparation of all breakfast items including eggs, pastries, hot dishes, and smoothies.
Ensure mise-en-place is completed for all stations before and during service.
Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and trainees within your section.
Monitor food stock, place orders, and minimize waste within your section.
Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness (HACCP).
Ensure all food is stored, handled, and cooked at correct temperatures.
Collaborate with other sections to ensure timely and synchronized service.
Assist the Sous Chef in developing new menu items, especially for breakfast/brunch.

Qualifications & Skills:

Culinary school diploma or equivalent apprenticeship.
Minimum of 3-4 years of kitchen experience, with at least 1-2 years in a Chef De Partie or similar role.
Demonstrable and significant experience as a Breakfast Chef is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment, with a focus on breakfast cuisine.
Leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Creative, organized, and quality-driven.
