We are currently seeking an experienced Planning Manager with expertise in high-rise building projects to join our client and drive successful project planning, monitoring, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling:

Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for high-rise building projects.
Prepare and manage the baseline programme and ensure that it reflects the realistic timelines for project completion.
Collaborate with the Project Manager and project team to create an integrated project plan, ensuring alignment with the project objectives and milestones.
Plan for and monitor critical path activities and key deliverables, ensuring that timelines are met and delays are minimized.

Cost & Resource Loading:

Perform cost and resource loading for the project schedule, ensuring proper allocation of resources to meet project deadlines.
Monitor and control the allocation of resources throughout the project lifecycle to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Prepare cost-loaded schedules to enable effective monitoring of budgeted vs. actual performance.
Advise project teams on cost control strategies and provide recommendations for improving project cost efficiency.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

Develop and manage the Clause 14 Progress reports in compliance with contract requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Track project progress against baseline schedules and provide regular updates to senior management and clients.
Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, highlighting any deviations from the original schedule, and proposing corrective actions when necessary.
Advise project teams on performance against baseline schedules and suggest remedial measures to mitigate any delays.

Risk Management and Analysis:

Identify potential scheduling risks and issues early in the project and proactively work with the project team to address them.
Conduct risk analysis, and prepare mitigation plans to ensure that project timelines are not adversely impacted.
Use scheduling tools to forecast potential delays and suggest corrective actions to the project team.

Stakeholder Management and Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for all planning-related issues between the client, contractors, project managers, and subcontractors.
Coordinate with project teams to gather necessary data and ensure that the project schedule is updated regularly.
Provide advice to senior management, project managers, and other stakeholders regarding scheduling, resource planning, and cost management.

Program Control and Documentation:

Ensure that all planning documents, including project schedules, progress reports, and related documentation, are prepared and maintained to the highest standards.
Oversee the tracking of project milestones, resources, and costs to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
Conduct regular schedule reviews with the project team to ensure that milestones are achieved and delays are identified early.

Baseline Program and Change Management:

Ensure the baseline program is established and properly maintained, incorporating any necessary changes.
Review and assess changes to the scope of work and assess their impact on the project schedule.
Manage the change control process by advising the project team on how changes affect the timeline and proposing adjustments where needed.

Support to Project Teams:

Provide planning support to Project Managers, Construction Managers, and site teams to ensure project schedules are being followed.
Offer expert guidance on planning and scheduling techniques, tools, and methodologies to ensure efficient project execution.

Key Requirements:

Educational Qualification:
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, with at least 5 years of experience in high-rise building projects.
Proven track record in managing complex projects using Primavera P6.
Hands-on experience in cost loading, resource planning, progress monitoring, and Clause 14 progress reporting.
Strong experience in creating and maintaining baseline programmes and managing project schedules for large-scale, high-rise buildings.
Skills & Competencies:
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
Expertise in cost and resource loading, schedule control, and progress reporting.
In-depth knowledge of construction project management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and project delivery.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast delays and suggest corrective actions.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Solid understanding of UAE construction regulations and industry standards.
