Planning Manager – Typical Job Description
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Experience Required: 8–10+ years in construction project planning and scheduling
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Prepare baseline programs, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks and delays.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
- Conduct delay analysis and recommend recovery plans.
- Track project milestones, resource allocation, and productivity.
- Support tender planning and project execution strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project deadlines.
Typical Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8–10+ years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Experience with large-scale building, infrastructure, or contracting projects.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- UAE/GCC experience is often preferred.
