Bellboy cum Driver (Bellhop & Driver)
Reports To: Front Office Manager / Bell Captain
Summary: We are looking for a presentable, courteous, and energetic individual to serve as a Bellboy cum Driver. This role is the first and last point of contact for guests, responsible for providing a warm welcome, assisting with luggage, and ensuring safe and timely transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
Bellboy Duties:
- Greet guests upon arrival and departure in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading their luggage from vehicles.
- Escort guests to their rooms, explaining room features and hotel amenities.
- Deliver items to guest rooms, such as parcels, mail, or room service orders.
- Handle guest luggage with care, including storing and retrieving it from the luggage room.
- Provide general information about the hotel, its services, and local attractions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the lobby and entrance area.
Driver Duties:
- Safely transport guests to and from specified locations such as the airport, train station, or other local destinations.
- Ensure the vehicle is always clean, fueled, and well-maintained.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to avoid delays and ensure timely arrivals.
- Assist guests with getting in and out of the vehicle and handling their luggage.
Customer Service & Coordination:
- Provide a high level of customer service, anticipating and fulfilling guest needs.
- Coordinate with the front desk and concierge to manage guest requests and transportation schedules.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Licensing: A valid, clean driver's license for the relevant vehicle category (e.g., chauffeur's license if required). A clean driving record is essential.
- Physical Requirements: Good physical condition to lift and carry heavy luggage and stand for extended periods. A well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of local areas, streets, and traffic patterns.
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Customer-focused with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is a plus.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.
