Job Summary
Tiger Contracting Co. LLC is seeking an experienced and immediately available Safety Advisor with official SARS (Scaffolding and Access Regulation System) Approval. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a proven track record in ensuring the highest safety standards on large-scale construction projects, with specific expertise in high-rise building construction. Your primary role will be to oversee, implement, and audit safety protocols with a strong focus on scaffolding and access safety.
Key Responsibilities
- SARS & Scaffolding Safety:
- Act as the subject matter expert for all scaffolding and access-related safety, in full compliance with the SARS regulations.
- Inspect, audit, and approve scaffolding structures, temporary access platforms, and edge protection systems before use.
- Ensure all scaffolding work is performed by competent personnel and in accordance with approved design and safety plans.
- General Site Safety Management:
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety walks to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Implement and monitor the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plan on site.
- Investigate all incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure full compliance with all UAE and local authority HSE regulations (e.g., Dubai Civil Defence, Trakhees, AD EHS).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including inspection reports, permits, training logs, and tool box talk sheets.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly HSE performance reports to the HSE Manager.
- Training & Awareness:
- Conduct regular Tool Box Talks (TBTs) and safety inductions for new workers.
- Deliver specialized training to workers and supervisors on scaffolding safety, working at height, and other high-risk activities.
- Risk Assessment & Method Statements:
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all high-risk activities, with a critical eye on scaffolding and high-rise operations.
- Participate in the planning of complex tasks to ensure safety is integrated from the outset.
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid SARS Approval Certificate from a recognized UAE authority is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of overall experience in construction safety.
- At least 2 years of specific experience in high-rise building construction projects is mandatory.
- Must be currently available in the UAE and able to join immediately.
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE HSE legal requirements and best practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of Hindi/Urdu/Arabic is an advantage).
