Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and budgets. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scoping: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management strategies. Define project deliverables and success criteria.
- Budget & Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates, manage project budgets, track expenses, and forecast costs. Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera P6. Monitor progress, identify critical path, and implement recovery plans for any delays.
- Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, designers, contractors, and subcontractors. Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Manage communication, provide regular updates, and ensure client needs are met.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Ensure all project work complies with company standards, design specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Implement quality control procedures.
- Safety Management: Champion a culture of safety. Enforce all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures on the project site to ensure a zero-accident environment.
- Contract Administration: Manage contract negotiation, execution, and compliance. Process change orders, review submittals, and handle RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation. Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (e.g., 5+ years) in project management within the [construction/civil engineering/infrastructure] industry.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and manage construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
