Job Title: Soft Services Supervisor
Department: Facilities Management - Soft Services
Reports To: Soft Services Manager
Job Purpose:
To directly supervise the on-ground soft services teams (cleaning, housekeeping, stewarding, etc.) within their assigned zone or shift, ensuring daily tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and safety. (Note: The job description is identical for both; the separation may be to supervise gender-specific work areas, such as restrooms or locker rooms, in accordance with cultural or client requirements.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, daily supervision to a team of cleaning operatives and porters.
- Inspect assigned areas (offices, restrooms, common areas, etc.) regularly to ensure cleaning standards are met.
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures, chemical usage, and safety protocols.
- Prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and manage staff attendance and timekeeping.
- Monitor and control the usage of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment.
- Report maintenance defects, safety hazards, and supply needs to the Soft Services Manager.
- Handle first-level client/occupant complaints and feedback regarding cleaning services.
- Ensure team adherence to uniform, personal protective equipment (PPE), and hygiene standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma. Certification in cleaning/hygiene is beneficial.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial cleaning supervision.
- Good knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
