Buggies Driver (Golf/Resort Transportation)
Job Summary:
The Buggies Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and courteous transportation of members, guests, and their equipment around the golf course or resort property using a golf cart or utility vehicle. The driver ensures a pleasant experience by maintaining vehicle cleanliness, adhering to safety and traffic rules, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate golf carts and utility vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, following all designated paths and speed limits.
- Transport guests and their golf bags between the clubhouse, practice areas, and designated starting points.
- Provide a brief orientation to guests regarding course layout, cart rules, and safety procedures.
- Regularly inspect vehicles for basic operational safety (brakes, tires, signals) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness of carts, including removal of trash, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring sand/seed bottles are filled.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading golf bags and other equipment.
- Monitor course conditions and communicate with the pro shop or grounds crew about any issues (e.g., wet areas, needed repairs).
- Enforce club policies related to cart use, such as keeping carts on paths where required.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering information and responding to guest inquiries politely and professionally.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid driver’s license (clean driving record preferred).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate vehicles smoothly and safely in various conditions.
- Basic knowledge of golf (preferred but not required).
- Physical ability to lift and carry golf bags (up to 50 lbs).
- Attentiveness, responsibility, and a pleasant demeanor.
