3D Graphics Designer (with AutoCAD)
Job Title: 3D Graphics Designer (with AutoCAD Proficiency)
Salary: 250 OMR per month (plus standard benefits as per Omani labor law)
Report To: Design Manager / Project Architect / Project Engineer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and technical 3D Graphics Designer with strong AutoCAD skills to produce high-quality visualizations and detailed technical drawings. The successful candidate will transform architectural concepts and engineering plans into compelling 3D models, renderings, and animations for client presentations, marketing materials, and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- 3D Modeling & Visualization:
- Create highly detailed and accurate 3D models of architectural exteriors, interiors, landscapes, and products from 2D drawings and sketches.
- Develop photorealistic renderings, walkthroughs, and fly-through animations using software like 3ds Max, SketchUp, Lumion, or Blender.
- Technical Drawing & Drafting:
- Utilize AutoCAD to produce, edit, and manage detailed 2D technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, and sections based on project requirements.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards and project specifications.
- Design Collaboration:
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and interior designers to understand project vision and technical details.
- Incorporate feedback from project teams and clients into design revisions.
- Material & Lighting Design:
- Apply realistic textures, materials, and lighting to 3D models to achieve desired aesthetic and mood.
- Project Support:
- Prepare visual materials for client meetings, proposals, marketing brochures, and websites.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain an organized library of 3D models, materials, and project files.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in 3D visualization, with a portfolio showcasing expertise in architectural rendering and AutoCAD drafting.
- Technical Skills (Essential):
- Expertise in AutoCAD for 2D technical drawings.
- Proficiency in at least one major 3D modeling & rendering software (e.g., 3ds Max + V-Ray/Corona, SketchUp + V-Ray, Lumion, Blender).
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop for post-processing renders).
- Technical Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks, or other BIM software.
- Basic video editing skills for compiling animations.
- Soft Skills:
- A strong artistic eye for composition, color, and lighting.
- Excellent visual and spatial thinking.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Good communication skills to present visual concepts.
- Language: Proficiency in English. Arabic is beneficial.
Portfolio:
- A digital portfolio is a mandatory requirement for application. It must demonstrate a range of 3D renderings (interior & exterior) and examples of technical drawings produced in AutoCAD.
