Camp Boss / Camp In-Charge (GCC Experience Required)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Camp Boss to assume complete responsibility for the efficient and smooth operation of our large-scale labor accommodation camp housing [Number] of employees. The ideal candidate must have proven GCC experience, understanding the unique standards, cultural sensitivities, climate challenges, and client expectations within the region. You will ensure the camp is managed to the highest standards of safety, hygiene, maintenance, and hospitality, complying with all local regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Overall Camp Management & Administration:
- Act as the single point of contact and responsible authority for the entire camp facility.
- Manage camp budgets, control costs, and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
- Maintain accurate records of occupancy, inventories, and camp operations.
- Handle and resolve all camp-related issues and grievances from residents promptly and professionally.
2. Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead, train, and supervise a multidisciplinary camp support team including housekeeping, catering, maintenance, security, and admin staff.
- Prepare work schedules and conduct regular performance reviews.
3. Facilities & Maintenance Management:
- Ensure all camp facilities (accommodation units, kitchens, dining halls, recreation areas, laundries, prayer rooms, clinics) are fully operational and well-maintained.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for services and material procurement.
4. Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE):
- Enforce strict compliance with COMPANY and GCC CLIENT HSSE standards.
- Conduct regular safety, hygiene, and fire inspections of all camp areas.
- Ensure food safety standards (HACCP) are met in kitchen and dining facilities.
- Liaise with security personnel to control access and ensure a secure environment.
- Manage emergency procedures and drills.
5. Catering & Food Services:
- Oversee kitchen operations, menu planning, and food preparation to ensure variety, quality, and nutritional balance, catering to a multicultural workforce.
- Monitor food stock, storage, and kitchen hygiene to the highest international standards.
6. Compliance & Client Relations:
- Ensure 100% compliance with local municipal laws, civil defense regulations, and client-specific camp management codes (e.g., Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, QP standards).
- Prepare for and successfully pass all client and third-party audits.
- Maintain excellent relationships with client representatives, local authorities, and service providers.
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a senior Camp Management role.
- PROVEN GCC EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL. Must have a track record of successfully managing large labor camps (500+ residents) in at least one GCC country.
- In-depth knowledge of GCC client welfare standards and audit processes.
- Strong understanding of international HSSE practices and their application in camp settings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills are a strong advantage).
- Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal qualification in Facilities Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Certification in HACCP, NEBOSH/IOSH, or similar.
- Experience in multicultural and multilingual work environments.
