Head of Finance
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports to: Deputy General Manager (DGM) & Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategically minded Head of Finance to oversee and drive the financial leadership and governance of our organization. The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA or CFA with 15–20 years of progressive experience, capable of managing complex financial operations across multiple geographies. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure cross-border compliance, optimize treasury and banking operations, and act as a key strategic partner to the Board and senior leadership in shaping the company’s investment and growth agenda.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership & Governance
- Provide strategic financial direction and ensure robust financial governance across all entities.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
- Ensure adherence to international accounting standards, local regulations, and cross-border statutory requirements.
2. Treasury, Banking & Trade Finance
- Oversee all treasury functions including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and foreign exchange risk management.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to optimize financing structures and trade finance solutions.
- Lead capital raising initiatives, debt management, and investment of surplus funds.
3. Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with the Board, DGM, and Group CFO on strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, investments, and business expansion.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, profitability improvement, and sustainable growth.
- Evaluate new business opportunities and lead financial due diligence for potential ventures.
4. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams across multiple regions.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and capability building to meet organizational goals.
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the Group CFO, Board, and external stakeholders.
- Manage tax planning, regulatory filings, and audit processes across different jurisdictions.
- Monitor changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.
- 15–20 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a multinational or multi-geography setting.
- Proven experience in treasury management, banking relations, and trade finance.
- Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and cross-border compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with boards and senior executives on strategic matters.
Desirable
- Experience in the Middle East (particularly UAE) market.
- Background in diversified industries such as conglomerates, manufacturing, trading, or infrastructure.
- Exposure to digital transformation in finance and advanced financial systems.
