We are seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused Sales Engineer to drive our growth in the Abu Dhabi market by providing pre-sales technical expertise and building strong client relationships.
Role Objective
To bridge the gap between technical solutions and client business needs. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, design tailored technical solutions, deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations, and ensure a smooth transition from sales to project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Pre-Sales & Solution Design: Act as the primary technical advisor, analyzing client needs and designing customized solutions that leverage our product portfolio. Create detailed technical proposals, diagrams, and Bill of Materials (BoMs).
- Client Engagement & Presentations: Conduct compelling product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and technical workshops for clients, ranging from engineers to C-level executives. Articulate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-oriented manner.
- RFP/Tender Management: Lead the technical response to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders. Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, compliant, and compelling.
- Relationship Building: Build trusted relationships with key technical stakeholders, IT/engineering departments, and specifiers within client organizations.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with product management, engineering, and project delivery teams to relay customer feedback and ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with customer expectations.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the UAE market.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a Sales Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Applications Engineering role, preferably within the [e.g., Oil & Gas, ICT, Construction, Manufacturing] sector in the UAE/GCC.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is MANDATORY.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of [mention specific technologies, e.g., SCADA systems, CRM platforms, networking protocols, HVAC controls].
- Proficiency in creating technical drawings and proposals (AutoCAD, Visio, etc.).
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
