Job Summary:
The Dental Assistant supports dentists in clinical procedures, patient care, and administrative tasks within a dental clinic. The role ensures smooth workflow, maintains high standards of hygiene and safety, and provides an excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain dental records
- Handle inventory management of dental materials and supplies
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Assist in radiography (X-rays) and other diagnostic procedures if required
- Provide support for emergency dental situations
Requirements:
- Diploma or Certificate in Dental Assistance from a recognized institution
- Saudi national preferred (as per regulatory/local hiring requirements)
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in dental assistance
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques
- Familiarity with dental software and record-keeping
- Good communication skills in English and Arabic
- Ability to work in a clinical environment with attention to hygiene and safety
