Job Title: Merchandiser
Job Summary:
The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring products are properly displayed, stocked, and promoted in retail outlets to maximize sales and brand visibility. This role involves managing product placement, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with sales and store teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Display & Presentation:
- Ensure products are displayed according to company standards and planograms
- Arrange shelves, racks, and promotional displays to maximize visibility and sales
- Maintain attractive and organized product presentation in stores
- Install promotional materials such as banners, posters, and price tags
Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels at retail outlets
- Ensure timely replenishment of products
- Check product expiry dates and remove damaged or expired items
- Coordinate with sales team for stock requirements
Sales Support:
- Assist in achieving sales targets through effective merchandising
- Identify fast-moving and slow-moving products
- Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences
- Support promotional campaigns and product launches
Reporting & Coordination:
- Report stock issues, competitor activities, and customer feedback
- Coordinate with distributors, store managers, and sales representatives
- Maintain daily/weekly merchandising reports
Requirements:
- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or sales preferred
- Good understanding of retail operations
- Basic knowledge of inventory management
- Ability to travel between store locations (if required)
