Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Storekeeper / Assistant Storekeeper to manage inventory, maintain stock records, and ensure efficient storage and distribution of goods. The ideal candidate will support smooth warehouse/store operations and maintain accurate inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and goods
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems
- Organize and store items in an orderly and accessible manner
- Issue materials as per approved requests
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess stock
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and audits
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of items
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store/warehouse
- Coordinate with procurement and other departments
- Assist in loading and unloading goods
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is a plus)
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Assistant Storekeeper, or similar role
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control
- Familiarity with storekeeping software and MS Excel
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle physical work when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse or logistics operations
- Knowledge of inventory systems (ERP, SAP, etc.)
- Basic understanding of safety and storage procedures
