Job Title: Project Controls Manager
Job Summary
The Project Controls Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project performance related to schedule, cost, and resources. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards by implementing effective project control systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Establish and maintain project control systems and procedures.
- Monitor project progress and performance against baseline plans.
- Analyze schedule delays, cost variances, and performance trends.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project status to management.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
- Implement risk management strategies and mitigation plans.
- Oversee cost control, budgeting, and financial tracking.
- Ensure proper documentation of project changes (change management).
- Support contract administration, including claims and variations.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in project controls, planning, or cost management.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling and cost control methodologies.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Familiarity with large-scale construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
