Job Title: Site Supervisor (Civil & Mechanical)
Job Summary:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities, ensuring that civil and mechanical works are executed as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role involves coordinating workers, monitoring progress, and reporting site updates to engineers or project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily site activities for civil and/or mechanical works.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Allocate tasks to workers, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and contractors.
- Maintain site records including manpower, materials, and daily progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and use of PPE at site.
- Identify and report site issues, delays, or technical problems.
- Assist in measurement and verification of completed work.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and machinery at site.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in site supervision (freshers with strong technical knowledge may be considered in some cases).
- Basic understanding of construction or mechanical installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or mechanical installation projects.
- Strong coordination and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of site safety practices.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office for reporting).
