Job Title: Carpentry Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Carpentry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all carpentry works at site or workshop. This includes supervising carpenters, ensuring quality workmanship, interpreting drawings, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily carpentry activities at site or workshop.
- Allocate tasks to carpenters and monitor work progress.
- Interpret and explain technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure all carpentry work meets quality standards and project requirements.
- Inspect materials and workmanship for accuracy and finish quality.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and other trades.
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain daily work reports, progress updates, and material usage records.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Identify and resolve technical or site-related issues.
- Train and guide carpenters to improve skill and productivity.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or certification in Carpentry, Civil Construction, or related field (preferred).
- 3–7 years of experience in carpentry work, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Good understanding of woodworking techniques and construction drawings.
- Hands-on experience in furniture, formwork, or interior carpentry works.
