Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fleet, Asset & Inventory Officer to manage company vehicles, heavy machinery, assets, and inventory operations at a paint production facility. The role requires strong coordination with drivers, operators, workshops, suppliers, production teams, and project teams to ensure efficient utilization and maintenance of company resources.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Machinery Management
- Manage the company fleet, including saloon cars, pickups, trucks, and road-marking machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicles, machinery, assets, allocation, and utilization.
- Monitor GPS/GPRS tracking systems, vehicle movement, mileage, utilization, and fuel consumption.
- Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate vehicle and machinery servicing, repairs, workshops, spare parts, and breakdowns.
- Monitor vehicle and machinery condition and ensure timely maintenance.
- Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, inspections, and other compliance requirements remain valid.
- Coordinate with drivers and equipment operators regarding vehicle and machinery issues.
Asset Management
- Maintain an updated asset register and allocation records.
- Track company assets and equipment assigned to employees, drivers, operators, and project sites.
- Monitor asset condition, movement, utilization, and maintenance history.
- Support asset audits and reconciliation activities.
Inventory Management
- Manage inventory at the paint production factory, including:
- Raw materials
- Finished products
- Consumables
- Spare parts
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory documentation.
- Conduct regular physical stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment when required.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, suppliers, and project teams for inventory requirements.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and identification of materials and spare parts.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare regular reports covering:
- Fleet utilization
- Fuel consumption
- Maintenance
- Vehicle/machinery status
- Assets
- Inventory and stock levels
- Maintain accurate Excel-based records and databases.
- Coordinate with drivers, operators, workshops, suppliers, production teams, and project teams.
- Identify operational issues and support timely resolution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in fleet, asset, maintenance, or inventory management.
- Practical experience managing vehicles and heavy machinery.
- Good knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
- Experience with GPS/GPRS fleet tracking systems.
- Experience in construction, road works, infrastructure, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, reporting, and record management.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- UAE Driving License is preferred.
- Ability to coordinate multiple vehicles, equipment, assets, and inventory activities efficiently.
Preferred Profile
Candidates with combined experience in fleet management + heavy equipment + asset control + inventory management within construction, road-marking, infrastructure, or manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.
