Job Title: Daycare Staff / Early Childhood Educator
Reports To: Daycare Center Manager / Head Teacher
Salary: AED 2,500 per month
Job Purpose:
To provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The Daycare Staff is responsible for the daily care, supervision, and structured activity planning for a group of children, ensuring their well-being and supporting their early learning milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare and Supervision: Provide constant and attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, both indoors and outdoors.
- Activity Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play, including arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and sensory activities.
- Routine Management: Manage daily routines effectively, including meal times, nap times, diaper changing, and toilet training, maintaining a consistent and predictable schedule for the children.
- Developmental Support: Observe and monitor children's development, identifying individual needs and interests. Encourage language development, social skills (sharing, cooperation), and self-help skills.
- Classroom Environment: Set up and maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inviting classroom environment that is conducive to learning and exploration.
- Communication with Parents: Maintain open, positive, and professional communication with parents and guardians, providing daily updates on their child's activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene policies, including proper sanitation of toys and equipment, prevention of illness spread, and safe food handling practices.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other daycare staff and management to ensure a cohesive and high-quality program.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; a certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working with young children in a daycare, nursery, or preschool setting.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- First Aid and CPR certification for infants and children is a significant advantage.
