Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Finance Manager with extensive UAE experience, preferably within the construction or fitout sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete financial oversight of multiple group companies, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and strategic fiscal management to support business growth and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-Company Financial Management: Oversee and consolidate the financial operations for 2-3 group companies simultaneously. Prepare separate and consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide strategic insights to management for decision-making.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Manage group cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and banking relationships. Ensure optimal funding for project and operational needs.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with IFRS. Liaise with external auditors.
- Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain sound knowledge and ensure full compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT regulations (including reverse charge mechanisms in construction), and other statutory requirements. Manage all tax filings and liaise with tax advisors.
- Project Costing & Control: Work closely with Project Managers to review project profitability, cost-to-complete analyses, and financial health of ongoing projects.
- Internal Controls & Processes: Develop, implement, and monitor robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Team Management: Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Payroll functions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 8 years in a managerial role in the UAE. Preference for candidates with a background in construction, fitout, or contracting.
- Skills:
- Proven experience in handling finance for multiple entities.
- Expertise in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax implementation and compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, Tally) and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- High integrity and ethical standards.
