Job Title: Facility Engineer
Department: Facilities Management - Hard Services
Reports To: Facilities Manager / Hard Services Supervisor
Job Purpose:
To provide engineering expertise for the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems and infrastructure, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), to ensure optimal functionality, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical building systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, BMS).
- Diagnose system malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and perform or oversee repairs.
- Assist in managing technical service contracts and liaising with specialist vendors.
- Monitor and optimize building system performance for energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and system failures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with technical standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Relevant trade certification or license (e.g., for HVAC, electrical work) as required by local law.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in building operations and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and building automation (BMS).
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
