Landscaping Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Landscaping Supervisor leads and coordinates the daily operations of a landscaping crew, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves client interaction, crew management, and hands-on oversight of multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and assign daily tasks to crew members based on work orders and project priorities.
- Provide on-site training, direction, and motivation to crew members, ensuring adherence to company standards and safety policies.
- Conduct site inspections with clients, address concerns, and ensure work meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Read and interpret landscape plans, sketches, and contracts to accurately implement designs.
- Manage the inventory, maintenance, and safe operation of all equipment, tools, and vehicles assigned to the crew.
- Monitor and control job costs, including labor hours, material usage, and equipment time.
- Perform quality control checks on all completed work.
- Complete daily paperwork, including time sheets, job reports, material logs, and safety checklists.
- Procure materials and schedule deliveries as needed for upcoming jobs.
- Resolve minor client issues proactively and escalate larger concerns to management.
- Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience in all aspects of landscape installation and maintenance.
- Proven leadership and crew management experience.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, hardscape installation, and irrigation principles.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read landscape designs and estimate material quantities.
- Basic administrative and computer skills for reporting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL may be required.
- Certifications in landscape, irrigation, or pesticide application are a strong plus.
