Position Overview
The Zone HR Manager is a strategic business partner responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives across a designated geographical zone. This role oversees the full employee lifecycle for all zone staff, ensuring compliance, driving employee engagement, and implementing corporate HR strategies at the zonal level. The incumbent acts as the primary HR point of contact for zone leadership and employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to Zone and Camp leadership on all people-related matters.
- Translate business goals into actionable HR plans and initiatives for the zone.
- Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, performance) to identify trends and recommend solutions.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for zonal and camp-based positions in collaboration with camp managers.
- Develop local sourcing strategies to meet staffing needs for seasonal and permanent roles.
- Oversee a consistent and engaging onboarding process for new hires within the zone.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Serve as the primary investigator for complex employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and labor laws across all camps in the zone.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks.
Performance & Reward Management:
- Lead the annual performance review process for the zone, guiding managers on goal setting and feedback.
- Support managers in addressing performance issues and developing performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Facilitate local compensation decisions in line with corporate guidelines and market data.
HR Administration & Systems:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all HR transactions for the zone (payroll inputs, status changes, exits).
- Maintain impeccable employee records and data integrity within the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Manage exit interviews and analyze data to reduce voluntary turnover.
Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Develop and execute zone-specific initiatives to boost morale, engagement, and retention.
- Champion the company's values and culture, ensuring they are embedded in all zone operations.
- Act as a change agent during organizational transitions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or business partner role. Experience in multi-site, hospitality, or remote operations is highly desirable.

- Expert knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to travel frequently to various camps within the zone.
