We are urgently seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to ensure the seamless and high-quality operation of nursing services during assigned shifts at our prestigious private hospital in Al Ain. The successful candidate will be a clinical leader, responsible for immediate decision-making, resource allocation, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
âś… Mandatory Requirements
- Immediate Availability:Â Must be able to join on short notice.
- Relocation: Must be willing to relocate to and reside in Al Ain.
- Licensing: Valid HAAD or DHA nursing license (or eligibility) is a must.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or charge nurse role within an acute care hospital setting.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership:Â Oversee all nursing personnel and clinical operations during your shift (day/night/evening).
- Resource Management:Â Ensure optimal staffing levels, manage patient assignments, and coordinate equipment and supplies.
- Quality & Compliance:Â Guarantee adherence to hospital policies, JCIA or MOH standards, and clinical protocols. Lead incident reporting and resolution.
- Patient Care Coordination:Â Act as the central point of contact for bed management, admissions, discharges, and inter-departmental coordination.
- Crisis Management:Â Serve as the first point of escalation for clinical emergencies, staff issues, and critical incidents on the floor.
- Staff Support & Supervision:Â Provide immediate guidance, support, and direction to nurses and allied staff. Conduct briefings and handovers.
- Documentation & Handover:Â Ensure accurate, timely shift reports and a comprehensive clinical handover to the next Shift Manager or Nursing Supervisor.
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
- Educational:Â Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required. A postgraduate qualification in nursing management is a strong advantage.
- Clinical Expertise:Â Proven competency in a critical care, ER, or acute medical/surgical setting.
- Leadership Skills:Â Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Technical Proficiency:Â Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
