Job Title: CCTV Operator / Control Room Operator

Reports To: Security Supervisor / Security Manager
Job Overview:
The CCTV Operator is responsible for the continuous monitoring of all surveillance camera systems to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and premises. This role requires a high level of vigilance, integrity, and the ability to respond promptly and appropriately to incidents as they occur.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor all surveillance CCTV equipment (cameras, monitors, recording systems) in the control room on a 24/7 basis.
- Maintain a detailed log of all observations, incidents, and actions taken in the daily activity report.
- Identify and report any suspicious activities, security breaches, safety hazards, or unauthorized persons.
- Coordinate directly with on-ground Security Officers to direct responses to incidents and provide real-time intelligence.
- Ensure all recorded footage is properly saved, archived, and labeled for easy retrieval in case of investigations.
- Perform routine checks on CCTV equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any technical faults immediately to IT or maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to privacy laws and company policies regarding surveillance and data protection.
- Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the control room.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in security operations or CCTV monitoring is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar surveillance role.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods while monitoring multiple screens.
- Basic technical understanding of CCTV systems and software.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- High degree of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
