We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electrical Technician to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards. The candidate must have practical field experience and a strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, lighting systems, and power distribution systems
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment
- Install cable trays, conduits, switches, sockets, panels, and circuit breakers
- Assist in installation of transformers, motors, generators, and other electrical components
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing devices such as multimeters and insulation testers
- Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions
- Replace defective components including wiring, breakers, relays, and fuses
- Ensure minimal downtime by responding promptly to maintenance requests
Testing & Inspection
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance
- Verify system grounding and protective measures
- Assist in commissioning and system startup activities
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company and governmental safety regulations and procedures
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Adhere to electrical codes and standards applicable in Saudi Arabia
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure safety
Documentation & Reporting
- Record maintenance activities and repair logs
- Report major faults or safety hazards to supervisors
- Assist in preparing maintenance schedules and inventory reports
Requirements
- Technical certificate or diploma in Electrical Technology or related field
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience in industrial, commercial, or facility maintenance
- Familiarity with low-voltage and medium-voltage systems
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems (advantage)
- Good communication skills
