Job Summary
Meed is seeking an experienced Government Relations Manager to oversee all licensing, regulatory, and government-related processes for its retail operations in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the food/retail sector and hands-on knowledge of Saudi government platforms to ensure full compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue, renew, and manage store licenses in coordination with relevant authorities
- Follow up on commercial registrations and food-related licenses
- Handle municipal fines and ensure timely resolution
- Ensure compliance with regulations from Civil Defense and other regulatory bodies
- Manage and process documentation through government platforms
- Coordinate with internal departments to maintain regulatory compliance
- Maintain accurate records of all government transactions and approvals
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting retail and food operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Government Relations
- Mandatory experience in the food and retail sector
- Strong experience handling government platforms such as:
- Ministry of Commerce
- Balady
- Tam
- Salamah
- Civil Defense
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple licenses and deadlines efficiently
