Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for transporting people, goods, or materials safely and efficiently to designated locations. The role requires adherence to traffic laws, maintaining vehicle condition, and ensuring timely deliveries or pick-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers or goods.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while ensuring timely arrival.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, brakes, tires, lights).
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods if required.
- Provide courteous and professional service to passengers or clients.
- Ensure the safety and security of passengers, cargo, and vehicle.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Proven experience as a driver (preferred but not always required).
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns.
- Ability to read maps or use GPS/navigation systems.
- Physically fit (if loading/unloading is required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
