Job Title: Vehicle Polisher (Automotive Detailing / Body Shop)
Job Summary
The Polisher is responsible for restoring and enhancing the appearance of vehicle surfaces through polishing, buffing, and detailing processes. This role ensures high-quality finishing of vehicles after painting or servicing, contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform polishing, buffing, and detailing of vehicle exteriors.
- Remove scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, and other surface imperfections.
- Apply protective coatings such as wax, sealants, or ceramic coatings.
- Prepare vehicle surfaces before and after painting (sanding, compounding, finishing).
- Use polishing machines, buffers, and detailing tools safely and effectively.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure a high-quality finish before delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work area.
- Follow safety guidelines and proper handling of chemicals and materials.
- Coordinate with body shop technicians and painters to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Experience as a polisher, car detailer, or in an automobile body shop.
- Knowledge of polishing techniques, compounds, and surface care.
- Ability to operate polishing machines and detailing tools.
- Eye for detail and quality finishing.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Training or certification in automotive detailing.
- Experience in an authorized dealership or professional detailing center.
- Knowledge of premium coatings (ceramic, nano-coatings) is an advantage.
