Job Summary
A Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in manufacturing or production processes. The role ensures machines run efficiently, safely, and produce high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machines and equipment according to instructions and standard procedures
- Set up machines before production and adjust settings as required
- Load raw materials and monitor machine operations
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines
- Identify and report machine faults or breakdowns
- Follow safety guidelines and workplace regulations
- Maintain production records and report output to supervisors
- Assist in troubleshooting minor technical issues
- Ensure efficient use of materials and reduce wastage
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical (preferred)
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing environment
- Basic knowledge of machinery and production processes
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical stamina and ability to work in shifts
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
