Job Title: HR Governance Officer
Job Summary:
The HR Governance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks. This role ensures that all HR practices align with legal requirements, organizational standards, and ethical guidelines, while promoting transparency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures in line with legal and organizational requirements
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory regulations, and internal governance standards
- Monitor HR operations to ensure adherence to policies and best practices
- Conduct internal HR audits and risk assessments
- Maintain and manage HR documentation, records, and compliance reports
- Provide guidance to HR teams and management on policy interpretation and governance matters
- Investigate HR-related issues, complaints, and policy violations
- Support implementation of HR systems, controls, and frameworks
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and audit teams when required
- Track and report key HR governance metrics and compliance status
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in HR, compliance, or governance roles
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Experience in policy development and compliance monitoring
- High attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in internal audits or risk management
- Familiarity with ISO standards or corporate governance frameworks
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in HR systems and reporting tools
Work Environment:
