Job Title: Project HR Officer
Job Summary:
The Project HR Officer manages all human resource functions within a specific project. This includes recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and administrative support. The role ensures that project staffing and HR processes align with organizational policies and project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment and selection for project staff (job postings, screening, interviews)
- Manage onboarding and orientation of new project employees
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and project guidelines
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions
- Monitor attendance, leave records, and contract renewals
- Support payroll processing in coordination with finance/accounts teams
- Assist in performance management and staff evaluations
- Organize training and development programs for project staff
- Provide HR reports and updates to project management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in HR, preferably in project-based or field roles
- Knowledge of HR practices and labor regulations
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on donor-funded or NGO projects
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability in dynamic project environments
Work Environment:
- May involve both office and field-based work depending on project needs
- Interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Possible travel to project sites
